Lending Material Resources

RESOURCE CENTRE

The Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living welcomes parents, families, teachers, caregivers, students and others to visit their lending library (formerly the K.I.D.S. Resource Centre).    A lending library of books, videos, tapes, print material on community and provincial resources, games, talking dictionaries, calculators, and recorders are available.

The library includes information and resources to assist in providing support for children with Attention Deficit Disorder, autism, developmental delays, giftedness, mental health issues and a wide variety of other needs.

Funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development and Supported Child Care, this resource centre is designed for child care providers, families and associated professionals in the Supported Child Care field. Books, videos, kits and facilitator's guides are available, some for adults and some written for children aged birth to adulthood. A list is available here.  These resources cover a wide range of topics that support quality child care and inclusion.  

A TV/VCR and video camera are available for loan (48 hours maximum) and a limited selection of toys.

The centre is open on Wednesday from 8:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Step By Step Child Development Society has been providing children and families

with specialized equipment for 25 years to assist children

in their large muscle development, mobility and independence*

     

 

                                             

We also offer equipment and toys that will help your child with their small muscle, cognitive, social and emotional development. 

                              

 

 

 

 

An annual membership fee of $25.00 per family household enables you unlimited access.
